Welcome to Phoenix

My mom is in Phoenix right now! It has been a lot of fun having her here. Skye was extremely excited to see Cookie when we picked her up at the airport last Wednesday. It was the cutest thing ever! Cookie saw Skye before Skye saw her so she said her name. When Skye turned and saw who it was, she got the biggest grin on her face, ran to my mom, and held her arms up to be held! She has definitely missed her!
Of course, we love to have my mom visit because it is fun for us and for Skye. One reason Lance and I like it is because it means we get to go on dates! Last Friday night we went to a show in Scottsdale called Cavalia. It was soooooo incredible! It is a show that combines these beautiful horses with human dance, acrobatics, tricks, and music. Unfortunately, you aren't allowed to take pictures or movies, but if anyone is bored and wants to check it out, you can go to their website http://www.cavalia.net/index.aspx?lang=EN-CA. There are also some youtube videos (probably illegally made) that definitely don't give justice to the real show, but they give a small hint as to what it's like. It was the most amazing show I've ever seen! It was pricey, but so worth the tickets. If you ever hear of Cavalia coming to a city near you, I definitely recommend seeing it!

It is always fun to have Grandma visit. I hope that you have fun with your mom and that she is able to soak in your new world. I'm sure she'll enjoy the sunshine. Tell her hi for me!!

Hi Alexis!!! I am thoroughly enjoying my stay in Phoenix. The weather has been perfectly beautiful! Can't wait to get back to the cold in Utah! (Nose grows longer...) It has been so much fun to be with Skye and enjoy her. The area here is beautiful, too. It will be hard to go home tomorrow. Thanks Tacy and Lance for letting me stay! And thanks, Skye, for giving Cookie the best memory ever at the airport!

This is definitely the best time of year to visit warmer climates, Cookie! :) Smart thinking. Tacy, that show sounds pretty neat- a more mystical Excalibur show, maybe?

Jess, Cavalia is a million times better than Excaliber. Excaliber doesn't even begin to compare. If all you want is excitement, Excaliber is cool, but Cavalia is in a different sort of league. Cavalia was art--beautiful, mystical, inspiring, amazing art.
