We Really Love Moab!

Earlier this month, we went back to Moab, this time with Skye and my brother in tow. We went straight to Potash Road to climb as soon as we got there. You'd have to understand our weird sense of humor to understand the weird photos we like to take! We call these "tourist" photos--getting ready to climb!

Rock vandalism or modern petroglyphs?
Travis ascending the slab!
You gotta love, posed, cheesey pictures, right?!
The slab master!
Skye had fun playing in the sand and getting dirty!
This is one of the reasons why we love Moab so much--not only is there awesome rock climbing, but there are such beautiful views everywhere you go!

The next day we did some more fun climbing in the warm weather.
The wildlife!

We love having fun adventures in Moab!

Meet the Neighbors

It took days of grueling hikes deep in the mountains, sleeping in the snow, failed attempts, and...oh wait, I took these pictures from the kitchen in my pajamas just after I woke up one morning a couple of weeks ago! Look at that beautiful buck that was just behind our house! He was there with four does and tons of pheasants! Deer, birds, frogs--it's like there's a jungle in our backyard--or a really big, really cool field full of wonderful wildlife!

We Love Moab!

Once again, I'm sooooo behind on blogging! Lance and I went to Moab the beginning of October while my awesome parents tended Skye. Here's Lance cooking burgers at the amazing camp spot we found. It was right above the river and had stunning views like... this on the other side of the road!
After a nice night by the river, we started our day at the Fisher Towers.
We went for a short hike and watched some climbers on Ancient Arts--that pinnacle to the right.
Lance actually sent that thing many years ago! Crazy!
More of the Fisher Towers.

You gotta love the pac-man formation! Moab/red rock territory rules!
Later, we went climbing at a place called Potash Road. While Lance was setting up some anchors, he called down to me that he could see a coyote on the beach on the other side of the river.
I climbed on top of the car to get these pictures. It was pretty cool!
If you look closely, you can see Lance up there!
The towering cliffs at Potash Road!
I love that we get to enjoy cool places like this again now that we're back in Utah!

Regarding Christmas

Some people (like Lance) are really creative and can pick out great grifts without being told what to get. I am not! I can't get a present (not even for Lance!) without being told specifically what to get. I know Christmas is about giving, not getting, and being thankful for what we have, but I would rather get someone something they want or need. So for any of you out there who might be getting a present for Lance or me this Christmas and need a little help with what to get, here are some great ideas.

We both love gift cards--I think they are the best presents idea ever! We both like gift cards to REI, Amazon, and Beyond Spa (our FAVORITE spa and one of our favorite places to go). Lance also likes gift cards to Hobby Lobby for painting supplies. I also like Old Navy, Gap, and Athleta for tall clothing. I wouldn't mind a popcorn popper, too.

So those are just some ideas for those who want to know!

Remember Fall?

Ya know, that season that comes to Utah in an erruption of glorious colors for about two weeks before the cold hits, turning everything brown and ugly? Here are some of our pictures from Mueller Park in Bountiful back when we were in that beautiful, heavenly, much-too-short-lived season.
