Fountain Hills

Yesterday we went to Fountain Hills, this city a little ways outside of Phoenix, so named for the giant fountain in the middle of the city. It's a really beautiful place and I read that the fountain shoots 560 feet up into the air. It's quite a sight to see this huge, huge fountain from the distance. And it's also pretty impressive up close.

Skye climbed onto this bird sculpture.
Afterwards, we went to the McDowell mountains to photograph more wildflowers. We got a few, but we were too hot and tired to want to go on a hike so we spent most of the time at this park near the trailhead. Skye loved it!
She is getting to be more and more of a dare devil. Here's her new trick.
There are times when it scares me to death to see her do things like that, but I'm also glad that she has some confidence and likes to do the same kinds of things that Lance and I like!

I can't believe how brave she is! I'm excited to see her this summer, she's grown up so much since you moved. I love her expressions...you can always see her wonder and excitement when she tries new things.

Skye is defnitely her parents child! I see Lance's expression on her face when she is being "tricky." Still.....watch her closely! Grandma's get nervous! :-)
