Just For Fun

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember! Let me know you check my blog!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

A random memory I've thought of: in Wind Ensemble senior year, there was one part of a piece where we would look at each other, put on chapstick, and put it back on our stand, looking solemn the whole time. That was fun! Of course, it's one memory from over 10 years of knowing you...

A favorite memory is of you being about a year old. I was trying out our new vacuum. We were commenting on the great suction power it had when you ran over to the table, grabbed your bib and threw it on the floor right in front of the vacuum. It got sucked right up. We all cracked up about that as you looked so proud of yourself for helping us realize the true virtue of our new vacuum! Just one of soooooo many memories!

What about the time you burned or almost burned the black beans? I don't know why but it always makes me laugh to think about it. It's just so funny to think of you speeding along so urgently.

I have to leave two of my favorite memories of Lance. Of course, me being a girl and all, they are romantic memories. First, remember when you sang to me when we went camping with Randy and Leslie when we were in our tent? I'll never forget that or how romantic and special it was. And of course, remember Takakaw Falls? Lance and I hiked about seven miles out to one of the tallest waterfalls in Canada. There we were at the base of this beautiful waterfall all alone. It was pretty amazing.

I think the best memory of my mom is from when Skye was born. I am so grateful that she could be there and for all of her help as I was giving birth to our beautiful daughter and I'm so glad she got to be a part of it.

Babe,

You can't use a romantic memory while I use something funny that you did. It make me seem like I have lost romance.

So I'll add a new memory which is a step closer to romance but not quite there. Remember the "internet fun" we used to have. We would email each other links, questions, and anything else that was interesting? That was cool. This is a little bit like that.

The best memory I have is when we convinced the whole flute section to not go to a mandatory music pass-off. :) We got in so much trouble. I still feel bad that you had to apologize to the whole band about it. "Undermining the leadership of the band" what crazy nonsense. Band camp was always fun with you there.

Tacy,

I can't believe you shared that story about me speeding on my blog! Now my parents will know what a rebel I am... jk.

My favorite memories of you are really of just when we've talked (in person or on the phone). We are such different people, but we had such great, deep, and meaningful conversations. We haven't talked for a while really, but I think we were there for each other when we needed it the most.

I really appreciate your friendship, and your support!!

A memory of you - I remember how we used to stay up at 10 and watch Star Trek, the next Generation. More specific... I remember one night when we slept outside and saw a ton of shooting stars.
