Desert Lake

Yesterday afternoon we took Skye to the beach/lake at Millsite State Park. We had soooo much fun! Skye loves playing in the sand and the mud. She aslo loves the water and was pretty bold about going out into it. We wanted to paddle out into the lake with a raft our friend let us borrow, but when we got there we discovered it had a hole so we couldn't use it. But we had tons of fun anyway, just hanging out on the beach and playing in the nice cool water. Skye had fun playing with her beach ball.
Hanging out on the beach. And look at the view! Look at those beautiful, golden cliffs in the background. That's one of the reasons why we love to go there.

Digging into the mud!

Skye can stand up all on her own now. She is pretty good at balancing and wasn't afraid of the water at all.
Here she is standing all on her own.

She led me out deeper into the water.
We sure had a fun day in the sun. I thought Skye looked so cute wrapped up in the beach towel in her daddy's arms.
Eventually, it was time for us to go, but we had a lot of fun!

What a water baby! I'm amazed at how she would go into the cold water! She is definitely a outdoor girl! Must belong to Lance and Tacy for sure!

Who needs video games and TV when you can go places like this! What a fun day for all of you!

I think that Millsite reservoir is the best reservoir I've ever been to. It is so peaceful and beautiful there.
