We went to Goldfield yesterday, an old gold mining ghost town that has now turned into a little tourist town. The first thing we did was go on the train that runs around the town. Here is Skye on the train, not looking too happy. She did like it some of the time. Her favorite part was actually watching the train rather than riding it.

Skye's favorite part of the whole experience was the reptile exhibit. She LOVED crouching down to look at the snakes and would take her sweet little time watching each one.

We got to see a little bit of a gunfight re-enactment before Skye got too scared of the loud noises. That was our experience in a ghost town--not very ghost like!

Interesting! I like that they had a train and a show- more than just looking at abandoned buildings. I'll have to see it when I visit you!
Looks like fun! I love the ginormous Saguaro! Telephone pole with arms (as Mike B. would say). Not sure I could look at the snakes the way Skye did! What a curious little girl! Oh, and the Superstition Mountains are pretty cool looking, too!
you forgot to post that they have weddings in the church at the ghost town. We saw a lucky couple wandering the tourist attractions while their wedding feast was being set up near the reptile exhibit. What a strange place to tie the knot!
I didn't know that there was so much to do in AZ. You guys are always finding fun things to do and discover.
