Silver Lake

A couple of weeks ago, we went up to Brighton and hiked around Silver Lake. I was so proud of Skye for making the whole mile all by herself. We took a ton of pictures so here are ones of us. I'll get more up later. Doesn't Skye look cute here?
Family pictures!

Trying to Catch Up

I sooooo need to catch up on blogging. Skye is transitioning out of taking naps so much of my free time has been lost. To start off, here on some cute pictures of the little one. My awesome sister-in-law got this shirt for Skye. She's still a kitty fanatic so when I put the shirt on to see if it fit, she did not want to take it off!
Crazy hair!
We've met several of these little guys in our yard.
This is Skye's hand so you can see that they are pretty small.
One Sunday after church, we visited Lance's dad who's in an assisted living center. Skye had only seen him once or twice so I was a little nervous about how she'd react, but she was actually really excited about going to see Grandpa Stine. She smiled at him and shook his hand and had a fun time. I'm glad I got this picture of them together.

Kangaroo Zoo

My parents took Skye to Kangaroo Zoo on Monday, while Lance and I were in Moab. Here's a cute video my mom got of her on one of the slides.

I love how she says she wants to "do that again!"

Fishing with Daddy

Ever since my parents took Skye fishing, Lance has wanted to as well. One Saturday, we went to the fish farm in North Ogden. Lance was excited because he's only ever gone river fishing and only ever caught one fish! But Skye started out with the magic touch. She quickly caught three fish! Lance caught up to her, though one of his flopped back into the water.
Father and daughter fishing! Here's Skye with another one! I have some great video of her catching them, too, that I'll get around to posting sometime.

Frog Rock

Lance took Skye on a hike to frog rock (above Farmington) awhile ago while I was sick. Here are some pictures from their little journey!

Hiking with Friends

Life has been so crazy lately. I have a lot to catch up on. A little over a week ago, we went on a little hike with our friends, the Busbys. We took our kids to Lisa falls in Little Cottonwood Canyon. The kids had fun playing in the ice cold water. And so did Lance!

Feeling the spray of the water!

I was amazed at what a good climber Lissie was--especially with wet, slippery feet!
The kids had a good time playing in this "house" someone built. Skye started gathering up sticks to add onto it! It was so cute! She loves building things. Maybe she'll be an architect someday!
Here she is getting a stick to build the roof.
Lance couldn't help but do a little climbing himself.

All the kids were inspired to do some climbing.

We had a great time being outside and being with friends. I hope it's something that happens more often!

Some Pictures of Our House

Here are some pictures of our new house. After we are done landscaping (something that has been taking a lot of our time), we can focus on other places inside. But here's the huge living room...
One of my favorite things is all the original artwork (done by Lance, of course) we have hung up.
The dining area.
The kitchen.
This is looking at the front door from the kitchen.
Here's Skye's bedroom. I LOVE her bedroom! And so does she!
The purple curtains don't match the plum color of the butterflies all that well, but I let Skye pick them out and purple is her favorite color.

Her closet.
